Install Flash Player I got this sound bar about 4 hours ago and I'm really enjoying it. I like the way it looks and sounds, it's well built. And it was easy to set up too, just plug it in and it works. And when I crank up the volume it maintains sound quality too, unlike other inexpensive speakers I've owned that turn into audio mud at high volume. I attached a short vid of it in action, the audio is from an old home video with some Creative Commons music added, so copyright is not an issue. If anyone would like the CC info on the music then just request it in comments and I will provide it. Of course there are serious limitations in trying to reproduce sound quality from a cheap video camera mic, but it's probably better than a written description.

Very good...not quite great
I am giving this five stars, but because of the price-point, ease of operation, design/look. You can't expect to get the greatest sound from a relatively cheap speaker. Sometimes you really want to turn the volume up for that song you really love, and this just doesn't satisfy in that realm. Poor bass and thin tones, but the sound is clear. Great for just normal daily use like non-music-based video streaming and talk radio. Certainly not meant to impress for action movies or similar. The buyer should know they are not getting a high performance product here. You simply need to spend more money to get a full range, loud, high quality speaker for music/movies.

Good sound for a power speaker, but has some minor flaws such as built-in wires and a lack of included wires.
I wanted a soundbar for my office since my monitors didn't have any built-in speakers and the laptop speakers aren't exactly placed conveniently on my office desk when mount. To keep it simple, the speaker build is surprisingly high with its materials of construction (mostly plastic but with some light sheet metal for the speaker. The volume knob turns silently and smoothly. The speaker itself comes with the power cable, which plugs in via USB; this works best for my situation since I can save a plug on my surge protector and utilize an existing USB port on my laptop dock. It also includes a microphone and headphone (2 x 3 position 3.5mm M/F male plugs) to connect to your 'output.' Here's a minor downside: this cable to plug into your 'output' is hard-wired into the speaker and unless you have a desktop computer with 3-position plugs for your microphone or sound, a '3.5mm 4 position to 2 x 3 position 3.5mm M/F' adapter can easily fix this issue for a couple of dollars. Another setback is that the speaker itself does NOT have a built-in mic, so you'll need to add in your own mic if you want to utilize the 3 position 3.5mm M/F male plug specifically for the microphone. Additionally, no additional 'input' wires are included either, but that's been typically expected from previous speakers I've purchased from other brands. Otherwise, I have no complaints with that '3.5mm 4 position to 2 x 3 position 3.5mm M/F' adapter I mentioned above. The speaker matches well with my decor and most importantly, it's a HUGE upgrade for whenever I'm on conference calls. It certainly beats the built-in speakers in my laptop, but also the speakers I had my office provide to me in the past to mount on my monitors. If your budget allows, this speaker is a satisfying addition to your office, if you lack external speakers!

Hands down most Amazing speaker ever!
I usually don't get too excited about any product but this speaker is so amazing I just had to write about it! The quality is awesome, bass is fantastic, and it's plenty loud. I use this speaker for my desktop computer for gaming and listening to music videos on You Tube and it sounds perfect! I just took it outside and hooked it up to my phone and wow! It's not a huge party speaker but if you have a few friends over by the pool it's amazing! Can't say enough! Money well spent!

Perfect fit when there's no space for desktop speakers
My desktop is setup with three monitors on a single stand. What this means is that most of my desk is covered by monitors, and I can't fit standard speakers. I was looking for something basic to fix this issue. I use this computer for office work mostly, so audiophile speakers are not needed nor really wanted. This speaker bar works great for this purpose. It easily fits beneath the monitors. One downside to a small sound bar is that the stereo separation is quite small, so you lose much of that stereo effect. For that reason, these will not really compete with two computer speakers spaced evenly at the sides of your desk in terms of immersiveness. But that option would not work for me anyway, and I was expecting this. I like that it's powered by USB as that means one less bulky wall wart on my power strip. I can power this from any USB port on the computer too as it doesn't have high power needs; I was able to put it on an unpowered hub with my mouse when I was a port short. The knob on the side is great for volume control and has nice resolution. The only thing I may have liked to change about this sound bar is a slightly longer audio cable. The included one is attached and non-removable and just barely fit to my desktop on the ground.

Good sound for a great price!
Good sound for a great price. I ordered this to hook up to my gaming TV, and love how great it sounds. It's so small, compact and lightweight that I've been bringing it into my kitchen when I'm cooking to listen to music cause it's not hard to move from one room to another.

Repurpose an old monitor
I am combining the review for three items as I am using them together. I hooked the HDMI to VGA ADAPTER to an old computer monitor that was laying around collecting dust. I used a JSVER Portable Desktop Power Strip with 3 USB Smart Charging Station to connect the monitor to and a TaoTronics Computer Speakers, Wired Computer Sound Bar, Stereo USB Powered Mini Soundbar. I then put an Fire TV with 4K Ultra HD into the HDMI to VGA adapter. Now I can use any app that works with the Amazon fire TV. I also have a WYZE camera I bought for $20 that works with the Fire TV. This all works great and if I want I can carry the whole package under one arm.

Install Flash Player 1) Nice design - this wired computer speakers come with adjustable volume knob at side, power cable supports USB A and has support for 3.5mm jack with optional microphone out. in my tests this small speaker is quite good - have been using this for more than few weeks now - i must say it made me taking office calls through the mic out a good experience where i donot have to distrub others late in the evening. The wattage is not specified anywhere but it has 5V power. at this price you cannot go wrong with this. 2) volume in this small factor is good for small room, i myself plan to hang it above my desk as it has handy hooks at the back. 3) i prepared a min video to capture the audio out of this speaker - its decent for a small room. Cables are pretty long too. 4) comes with 18 month warranty -TT stands behind their products - fantastic purchase - 5/5 - love it =]

Worse than the built in speakers they were supposed to replace -- Update: Excellent Service and Replacement
I was surprised to find that these speakers weren't nearly as loud or as high fidelity as those built into my Mac. I thought that both the sound volume and quality would be improve with these speakers, but neither happened. On the upside, the unit looks great and was easy to return. Shortly after returning this product and submitting this review I was contacted by the seller and offered a free replacement of another sound bar that they expected would be louder and more to my liking. They sent the new speaker bar and it was much much better and worked perfectly. The service provided by this seller is absolutely outstanding and the new sound bar is excellent as well. I'm changing my rating from 1 star to 5.

Big audio from a small package for your computer or tv
We've had a fair bit of experience with TaoTronics larger soundbars and they have impressed me so far. When I saw this one, I decided to order it and give it a try as I was using some REALLY old Dell OEM speakers for my desktop computer. First off - it's looks so much better than my old speakers and fits perfectly on the bottom on my monitor. It also has both headphone and mic plugs directly on it. After hooking it up, I gave it a try with both some gaming and a movie and it rendered the sound incredibly well for both. Finally, I really like that the feet slightly angle the speaker upwards to allow the best directionalality when sitting directly on the desk.
